Reserve Bank of India Assistants Examination Details
Eligibility Criteria for (As on the date mentioned in the notification)
(I) Educational Qualifications: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC. ii) A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependants of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service. iii) Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office. (II) Age: Between 18 and 28 years. Selection Procedure and Scheme of Exam: Scheme of the examination will be computer based (Objective type with Multiple Choice Question pattern) Online Test consists of five modules, viz.- Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge.
Negative Marking: 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Career Prospects: (i) Pay Scale: Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.8,860/- per month (i.e. Rs.8,040/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of Rs.8,040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11,270 – 550 – 13,470 – 650 – 15,420 – 720 – 16,140 – 990 – 20,100 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately Rs.24,429/- (ii) Career Growth (Class 3 and 4) It is a clerical job as you do entries of inward & outward mail and data entry work. There may not be transfers. Promotions like Senior Assistant, Special Assistant, Record Clerk, Attendant (maintenance and catering), and Security guards etc. and after three years there will be Departmental Exam for promoting to Assistant Manager. It is a great opportunity to promote to Grade B officer in RBI after three years even though you entered as an Assistant. There are reasonable prospects for promotion to higher grades. Reserve Bank of India MANAGER (TECHNICAL – CIVIL) IN GRADE 'B' Exam Details
Eligibility Criteria (As on the date mentioned in the notification)
(I) Educational Qualifications Essential: (i) A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years. Aggregate Grade Point or percentage of marks where awarded would mean aggregate over the entire duration of the course. Desirable: Specialization in Structural Engineering, Public Health Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management. (II) Experience Essential: At least 3 years' experience after graduation in a public/private limited organization including Hospitals/ Banks/ Financial Institutions/ Planning/ Designing/ Construction /Large Office Buildings/ Multistoried Buildings/ Housing Companies/ residential campus based education institutions including preparation and evaluation of tender papers. Desirable: (i) Experience of administering construction projects in all its aspects and knowledge of PERT/ CPM techniques (ii) Working knowledge of Computer in Structural Design in CAM/ CAD/ evaluation and analyzing of tenders with special references (iii) Working knowledge of Electro-mechanical services and electrical maintenance (iv) Working knowledge in structural rehabilitation works (v) Experience in Construction and Project Management (vi) Experience in Maintenance of Office and Residential Buildings (vii) Good drafting capacity. (III) Age: Between 21 and 35 years. Scheme of Selection: Selection will be through Written Examination (‘WE’) and interview. The WE will be objective type of 4 hours duration and carrying 200 marks to assess the candidates’ abilities.

Eligibility Criteria for (As on the date mentioned in the notification)
(I) Educational Qualifications: A Minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations. (II) Age: Between 21 and 30 years. For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years, respectively. (III) Number of attempts: The maximum permissible number of attempts (which were applicable for candidates belonging to Unreserved/General Category) is 6. Selection Procedure and Scheme of Exam: Scheme of the examination will be computer based (Objective type with Multiple Choice Question pattern) and consists of two phases, viz., Phase-I and Phase-II, followed by Interview. Phase-I examination will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There are four modules in Phase-I, viz.- General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. Phase-II examinations will consist of three papers in MCQ pattern (except Paper-I) – viz. Paper-I on English (writing skills); Paper-II – Economic & Social Issues and Paper-III – (optional subjects) – Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics. In Phase-II examination two will be compulsory papers and one optional paper. The compulsory papers are Paper-I on ‘English’ and Paper-II on ‘Economic and Social Issues’. The optional Paper- Paper-III will have options of subjects, viz., ‘Finance & Management’ or ‘Economics’ or ‘Statistics’. Note: In Phase-II the paper-I on ‘English’ will be descriptive type and computer based, i.e. to be typed on computer screen with the help of the keyboard. Phase-I:

(I) Educational Qualifications Essential: (i) Second Class Master's Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation, with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor's Degree level; OR (ii) Second Class Master's Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor's Degree level; OR (iii) Second Class Master's Degree in Sanskrit / Economics / Commerce with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor's Degree level. OR (iv) Master's Degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation, of which one must be Second Class. Desirable: Knowledge of bi-lingual word processing. (II) Experience Essential: At least three years' experience in coining of Glossary or English to Hindi translation and vice-versa in any National or State Level Weekly/ Newspaper or any Government/Semi-Government Office or any autonomous body/undertaking, etc. Desirable: (i) Study of Sanskrit/any other modern Indian Language/Linguistics at Bachelor’s Degree level (ii) Published literary work. (III) Age: Between 21 and 30 years. For candidates with Ph.D. qualification, the upper age limit will be 32 years. The maximum age relaxation applicable to SC, and OBC (as no vacancies are reserved for ST) category candidates, even having Ph.D., will be 5 years and 3 years respectively. Scheme of Selection: Selection will be through Written Examination (‘WE’) and interview. The WE will be of 3 hours duration and carrying 100 marks to assess the candidates’ ability to undertake translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa and their knowledge of terminology in Hindi vis-à-vis English with greater emphasis on technical terms pertaining to Banking, Economics, Commerce and allied subjects and ability to express themselves in Hindi and English. Job requirements: (i) Translation from English into Hindi and vice-versa of various references, documents, manuals and other publications of the Bank and arranging for printing thereof. (ii) Implementation of Government instructions regarding use of Hindi and (iii) Administration of Hindi Teaching Scheme for the Bank's staff. Career Prospects: (i) Pay Scale: Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.12,370/- per month (i.e. Rs.8,040/- plus nine advance increments admissible to Junior Engineers) in the scale of RS.8,040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11270 – 550 – 13470 – 650 – 15420 – 720 – 16140 – 990 – 20100 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Research Officers in Gr. ‘B’ for Department of Economic and Policy Research (I) Educational Qualifications: (i) A Master's Degree in Economics with a minimum of 55% marks (SC and PWD candidates - 50% marks) or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / Institute; OR (ii) A Doctorate Degree in Economics with Master's Degree in any subject with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / Institute. Preferential/Desirable Qualification: Research or teaching experience in Economics or publications in standard journals would be considered as an additional qualification. (II) Age: Between 21 and 30 years. For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates the upper age limit will be 31 and 33 years, respectively. Selection Procedure and Scheme of Exam: Selection will be through Written Examination ('WE') and interview. There are 3 papers of 300 marks for Written Examination.
